Workday Adaptive Planning Consulting & Integration Support

Workday Adaptive Planning breaks in ways that generic finance-systems consultants are not equipped to diagnose. The symptom is usually a number that looks wrong in a report. The cause is usually several layers down — a failed integration run, a malformed payload from an upstream ERP, a permission boundary that silently truncates a dataset, or a sync that succeeded technically while writing to the wrong dimension.

I work on exactly this class of problem as a Software Support Engineer at Workday, troubleshooting Adaptive Planning for enterprise customers alongside cross-functional teams. That means reading the logs and the API traffic rather than guessing from the UI.

Where I can help

Most engagements start with a symptom nobody can explain and end with a root cause several systems away from where it surfaced.

How I approach it

I treat an Adaptive Planning issue as a data-lineage problem rather than a product-support ticket. The question is never just 'what is the error' — it is where the value entered the system, what transformed it, and which step first disagreed with the source of truth.

That approach comes from a support engineering background rather than a consulting-deck background. Before Workday I spent three years at LinkedIn resolving integration failures across Talent Solutions as a subject-matter expert, and three years before that managing cloud-hosted database environments for US medical practices at eClinicalWorks. The common thread is enterprise systems that other people depend on, where the answer has to be correct rather than merely plausible.

Typical engagements

Short, scoped, and diagnostic. A one-off investigation into a specific reconciliation failure. A review of an integration design before it is built. An advisory engagement where your internal team does the implementation and I pressure-test the approach.

I am not a Workday implementation partner and do not resell licences. What I offer is engineering judgement on the integration and data layer.

Common questions

Are you an authorised Workday implementation partner?

No. I am an engineer with day-to-day working experience of Adaptive Planning support, offering independent technical consulting on integration and data issues. For licensing, implementation or contractual matters you should work through Workday or an authorised partner.

What kind of Adaptive Planning problems are worth bringing to you?

Anything where the data is wrong and nobody can say why. Failed or partial integration runs, reconciliation gaps between Adaptive Planning and an upstream ERP, unexplained behaviour during data loads, or an integration design you want reviewed before committing to it.

Do you work with teams outside India?

Yes. Engagements are remote and I have worked with enterprise clients and cross-functional teams across time zones throughout my career at Workday and LinkedIn.

Have a problem that fits this?

Tell me what is failing and what you have already ruled out. I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it.
